My Journey

I am Sahel, born in Afghanistan. My life journey has been shaped by changes, departures, and moments that taught me to look closely — at people, at feelings, and at the quiet forces that carry us. These experiences form my artistic perspective and define the themes I work with.

Art for me is an expression of inner worlds. It begins where words are no longer enough. In my work I try to make emotions visible and to create a connection between the inner world of a person and the outer reality. Every line, every structure, and every material carries a meaning that goes beyond the visible.

Angels as Symbol

A recurring motif in my works are angels. For me they do not represent supernatural beings, but hope, protection, and the quiet strength that accompanies people through their lives. The use of real feathers creates a bridge between symbolism and reality — between what we see and what we feel.

My works speak of growth and transformation. They reflect personal experiences while simultaneously addressing universal themes: courage, vulnerability, hope, and the ability to unfold anew again and again. It is about movement — from darkness into light, from the inner world into the outer.

Art Is in the Eye of the Beholder

When people pause before my paintings and discover something that moves them or reminds them of their own story, my art has fulfilled its purpose. For me, art is a bridge between people — a quiet space where feelings become visible and new perspectives emerge.
